Hong Kong Organic Green Tea
Origin: Hong Kong
Hong Kong used to have several mountain tea plantations. From 17th century to early 20th century, Tai Mo Shan, Ngong Ping highland and Plover Cove had several commercial scale tea plantations. In 1920s, tea plantation was abandoned in Tai Mo Shan.
Now, small batch of organic tea production has been revived in the north slope of Tai Mo Shan, where mountain mist and fog are abundant for the growth of tea trees. The tea trees are planted inside an orchard, where the tea can absorb the fragrance of the fruit.
